You do not need to enter any personal information to use the Left Handers Day website. This website is owned and run by Anything Left-Handed Limited, registered in England since 1968 with company number 937338.
Use of your email address
If you register to join the Left Handers Club, we will send a confirmation email to the address you registered with and you will need to click the link in that email to confirm your request to receive our newsletters at the email address given. We will send a welcome email and introductory newsletter, then further newsletters about one a month.
We do not pass on ANY personal details to ANYONE else for ANY reason whatsoever or do mailings or promotions on behalf of ANY other business.
Use of “Cookies”
A “cookie” is a small text file that a website places on your local device so that it can remember something about you at a later time (for example whether to show you the information about the Left Handers Club again when you return or handle your entries in our survey forms).
Facebook, Twitter and other social networks
These services provide social buttons and similar features which we use on our website – such as the “Like” and “Tweet” buttons. To let you use these we embed code that they provide and we do not control ourselves. To function their buttons generally know if you’re logged in; for example Facebook use this to say “x of your friends like this”. We do not have any access to that information, nor can we control how those networks use it.
Social networks therefore could know that you’re viewing this website, if you use their services (that isn’t to say they do, but their policies may change). As our website only contains positive and helpful information we imagine this is not a concern for most users.
Google Adwords and AdSense
You can set preferences for how Google advertises to you using the Google Ad Preferences page, and if you want to you can opt out of interest-based advertising entirely by cookie settings.
Hi, I found your website very uplifting and informative though I’m disappointed and surprised you do not offer privacy settings choices.
