As I was growing up my parents always said, "left hand people are special". You know that has always made me feel special, and I never consider wanting to be right handed. Left handers do think out of their right mind. I did take a test one time to to find out which side is my strongest thinking side, and what was really strange, is that I'm totally balance on both sides lol. Go Lefties!!!!!!

To all my right handed friends and family members, I have just one thing to say...
You're just jealous!

Was at a big dinner once and someone across the table happened to notice I was eating with my left hand (naturally) and she said to me "You do that well". I asked what and she said "Eat with your other hand". It looked so awkward to her that she had to notice. Trouble is, she said it aloud across the table and everybody laughed at my expense. I took it well, but I did feel pretty self concious after that. Had another experience that was weird. I was taking an art class and my teacher though I had a big "secret" that was making me a good artist because I drew from top to bottom on the page. She finally asked me why and I said "because it keeps my hand clean". Big secret drawing method!!!

I'm a lefty- the only one in my immediate family. Like other people have said, shaking hands is confusing! I do almost everything with my left hand. I don't type the way you are supposed to so my left hand does most of the typing. Did you know that you can put your computer mouse on the left side and make it work so you still use your pointer finger to click normally? Anyway lefties may have trouble in this right handed world but we are way smarter! Just think of all the left handed famous people! There are more than you think!

growing up for me was quite interesting.
when my mom told me to introduce myself,
i gived them my left hand,
and they would give me their right hand, and we both got confused.
playing sports was pretty intense because i would throw the ball, or hit the other way.
so it was confusing to them.
i began to draw, and play music,
so thats good for being a left handed.
we my family and i go to restaurants, i avoid sitting next to someone, because i eat with my left, and the people next to my left side, eats with their right, so we bump elbows.
and yeah.
so yeah.
heres a lil' joke:
"did you know that if you blow up the left side of a persons body, they'll be alright.?"

I come from a family with both parents and both children being left-handed so being a lefty was normal.
My husband is right-handed as are our children, but his father is left-handed, so he has some lefty tendencies and so do our children, who are both surprisingly enough right-handed.

I don't know how people in other countries do it, but here in the Netherlands, on birthdays, the one who comes in gives a hand and three kisses on the cheeks (men don't kiss eachother).
So when someone comes in, I tend to give my left hand and the others their right hand, which happens to every lefty.
But when I walk in the room, I always give my left hand, which is confusing to everyone and annoying to some.
I have no problems with the kisses, since I always do right, left, right, that's what everyone else does, too.
What I find really funny is that a left-handed uncle of mine always gives a right hand, but knows who is also left handed and give them a left hand.

left handers are great problem solvers because we don't use such linear thought, my experience is thinking outside the box works great for just about everything
